Advanced Excel

Course Overview

This course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills that would aid in performing analysis tasks using Excel spreadsheet. In this course a student will be in a position to appreciate the importance of Excel for data summary, presentation among other statistical work. Students will be trained through a series of practical classes whereby the instructor will ensure the students are in a position to gain hands on skill that will enable them to effectively use the Excel tool immediately at the end of the course.

Course Objectives

By the end of this program, the student will be able to:

• Understand and appreciate the importance of Excel for data analysis
• Identify and define a problem
• Summarize data using Excel
• Perform statistical, financial and mathematical operations
• Create a Dashboard using Excel

Teaching Strategies

Each student will have a CodePamoja canvas account where the course syllabus, teaching materials and assignments will be shared by the instructor. This program will be conducted for 2 hours per day using both class room sessions and lab sessions led by the instructor.
